In 1963 after selling a few tractors off of a small acreage on 35th street in Independence, MO, Audley O'Dell founded the O'Dell Tractor Co. He decided that if people wanted to purchase the equipment he was using to care for his acreage, starting a business to sell tractors would be a good idea. Audley started by selling small tractors out of his barn. Sales continued to grow as Audley made plans to move to a more visible location which brought the business to its present site. In the early years the business specialized in selling Ford tractors (8Ns, 9Ns, & Jubilees), but there was a need for new small sized tractors. Starting in 1970 Kubota was Audley's answer to filling this need. He was truely a pioneer in the success of Kubota in the U.S.
In 1977 Audley's son Scott started working full time for the company, and became the owner in 1991 after Audley's retirement. Scott has served on the Kubota Dealer's advisory council on both a regional and national level at various times. Scott continues the business based on honesty, providing customers with quality products backed up by parts and service. Our knowledge of Kubota and old Ford Tractors is unsurpassed in the industry. We are currently recognized as the oldest Kubota Dealer in the U.S.A. Our facility is in excess of 20,000 square feet on 4 acres.
